Cabalgata
Beautiful horseback ride along the trails of our Hacienda Boca Tapada reserve. A unique experience where you can enjoy the native nature of the region, observation of different species of birds, insects, trees and if you have lucky, the tapir.

Kayak

Hike

Boat Tour to Boca San Carlos
We will take a boat that will take us along the majestic San Carlos River towards the border with Nicaragua.
During the tour you will be able to observe birds, turtles, monkeys, iguanas and the impressive crocodiles that inhabit it.
We will arrive at a small community called Boca San Carlos, its name refers to the mouth of the San Carlos River, Costa Rica in the San Juan River, Nicaragua; there we will make a small tour and if you wish you can enjoy a natural soft drink offered by local people.

Three Friends River
For those who don’t want to paddle, the boat option is an excellent alternative to explore the San Carlos River and immerse yourself in a small jungle in the waters of the Tres Amigos River, where birds, iguanas, monkeys, macaws, and majestic crocodiles will be the centerpieces of this experience.

King Vulture Sighting
Would you like to photograph or simply admire the beauty of the majestic king vulture?
Your vehicle will take you 1.5 km from our lodge, where you can appreciate the beauty of the king vulture from a fixed point while it feeds. In addition, you will observe different bird species in their feeding areas and natural habitats.

Boca Tapada is home to many of them.
We’ll start early in the morning with our guide, walking along the trails of our Hacienda Boca Tapada reserve. You’ll observe a variety of bird species in their natural habitat, perfect for photographing or simply admiring the memory.

Sarapiquí Rafting
Costa Rica is known for its world-class rafting, and the Class II and IV Sarapiquí River won’t disappoint.
Your Costa Rica whitewater rafting adventure begins with a scenic, approximately 1-hour ride from your meeting point with tour transportation at Mirru’s Pizza in Pital.

Organic Farm
